How To Make

I have made this Energy Bar in a very way keeping the ingredients as well as the method easy and simple. I added oats, millets, nuts and sesame seeds in it and sweetened it with jaggery. It's somewhat like my Til Chikki with Berries but I did not make this Energy Bar brittle like Chikki.

First, I dry roasted everything one by one. Its better to roast each one of these separately as some get roasted fast whereas some take more time.

Also, I used mixed millets. I used 6 types of millets, namely Barnyard Millet, Brown top Millet, Kodo Millet, Little Millet, Foxtail Millet and Ragi. But you can very well make this with just one or two or more than 5 millets also. Basically, use whatever millets you have.

After roasting each of the ingredients, in the same skillet, I added jaggery powder along with 2 tablespoon water and let it boil for 2 to 3 minutes. After that, I added peanut butter to it. I used it as it was lying in my refrigerator. You can use peanut butter or any other butter or simply ghee. If you want to make it vegan, then add coconut oil instead of regular butter or ghee.

Once peanut butter got mixed up nicely with the melted jaggery, I added the dry mixture. Tossed everything for few seconds till everything got together and then laid it in a greased tray. It sets very quickly, in just half an hour or so. And once set, your Millet Bar is ready.
