Q) What can I do with wilted strawberries?
Strawberries wilt very fast and once wilted you don't enjoy eating them. Does this mean that they go into the bin? Definitely not! If strawberries get wilted then you can use them for making any of these:
Q) Is Strawberry coulis served hot or cold?
Either way! Generally, it is served cold but you can use it hot also.
Q) Do I need smooth or coarse puree for making strawberry coulis?
A) We use strawberry puree for making this. You can either have it coarse or smooth as per your preference.
In my family, we all prefer it being mushy as in that case you get to have tiny pulpy pieces of strawberries as well.
Q) Can I skip cornstarch while making strawberry coulis?
A) Cornflour is added to give it a sauce-like consistency. Instead of cornflour, you can add tapioca starch or even rice flour can be added.
Q) Why lemon juice is added to strawberry coulis as these are already tangy?
A) Lemon juice is added to give a shiny texture to the sauce and is not for the taste.
