Chane Ke Laddu

Keyword Chana Ladoo
Prep Time 5 minutes
Cook Time 10 minutes

  • 150 g Roasted Chana
  • 50 g Roasted Peanuts
  • 200 g Jaggery
  • 1 Tablespoon Sesame Seeds (Optional)

  1. Take roasted chana and grind it coarsely, better done with a rolling pin.
  2. Roast Peanuts, rub off its skin. Now coarsely grind it, again with a rolling pin only.
  3. Chop Jaggery into small pieces.
  4. In a heavy bottomed pan, take jaggery. Add 2 Tablespoon water and let it dissolve on medium flame. Keep stirring off and on.
  5. As soon as the jaggery dissolves completely, give it one more boil and add chana and peanuts.
  6. Mix everything nicely and switch off the flame.
  7. Wait for about 5 minutes so that it cools down slightly.
  8. Wet your hands and form laddus. After 2 to 3 laddus when hands are dried, again wet them. If the hands are wet then the mix doesn't stick and it is easier to make laddus.
  9. Take sesame seeds in a plate and roll laddus in it.
  10. Store in an airtight container. Enjoy in breakfast or after meals.

Recipe Notes

  • I have added more of chana and peanuts as we prefer less sweet. You can reduce the total quantity of these to 150 gm from 200 gm.
  • You can take Chana and peanuts in equal quantities or in any other ratio you prefer. I have taken very few peanuts as they are rich in calories. You can even skip peanuts.
